Meena is an upcoming talent from Jaipur and has toured with international companies, such as Dhoad Gypsies. Meena is a seasoned stage performer and comes from a family of folk artists. She is adored by her dance students that span the globe. Her style is smooth and graceful. Meena is a dedicated teacher that observes her students to make sure they are learning correctly. She is thrilled to connect with students from around the world and is looking forward to meeting her new students.

Ilona has been actively studying Rajasthani dances (kalbelia, ghoomar, panihari and chari) since 2014 with various teachers in India and Europe. She was part of Kalbeliya World from the beginning as Meena Sapera’s buddy.

Ilona is a well known teacher and choreographer internationally, especially for her folk dance flavored style. Ilona’s dance group Bollywood Kamlees won the first prize in the group category in Europe’s Next Bollywood Star contest in Frankfurt in 2015. She has choreographed and performed for several Finnish TV productions.

To understand better how dance can support wellbeing, she completed a one year course in Dance Movement Theraphy, and she has
a bachelor’s degree in cultural studies from the University of Helsinki. Ilona is currently studying Osteopathic Medicine and besides teaching dance she works as a Massage Therapist.
